…TWICE EXCEPTIONAL AUSTRALIA  (TEA)

Twice Exceptional Australia (TEA) Support Group

Twice Exceptional Australia (TEA) is a Facebook group run by twice exceptional (2E) volunteers. TEA was formerly the Facebook group for Gifted 2E Support Australia.

Gifted 2E Support Australia is a community organisation founded by Amanda Drury and Kate Donohue many years ago. Kate remains as a TEA Admin, with TEA’s other Admins being long time members of the Facebook group.

What does Twice-Exceptional mean?

Twice exceptional, or gifted with a learning disability (GLD), refers to those who are both gifted and have a disability/learning difficulty. ‘Twice exceptional’ refers to being an exception to the typical in those two ways. Being 2E impacts educational and support requirements in various ways. All aspects need consideration in parenting, educational, and therapeutic arenas.

If you have any questions please contact Kate Donohue here https://www.dynamicparenting.com.au/contact
